Our approach to the design process starts by listening intently to our client’s aspirations and studying the unique site characteristics. Then, we work to create spaces that take full advantage of the site and enhance the lives of those who will live there.

Process

We get to know you and your site, or your existing home, and begin the schematic design process. During this phase, we create sketches of various options and walk you through the ideas behind each. This process is very collaborative and fluid to allow for the sharing of ideas.

Once this phase is complete, we begin the design development phase where the design and details are further developed. The layout of the interior and exterior is finalized and details begin to develop. We work closely with you during this phase to ensure a cohesive design that offers day to day livability while being sensitive to its neighbors and timeless in its qualities.

The construction document phase further develops the design into drawings that are used for permitting and construction. All the specifics of the project are incorporated into detailed drawings and specifications.

During the construction administration phase, the team works together to ensure a positive outcome by taking advantage of further design opportunities and handling questions that arise in an efficient manner. An open process between all those involved makes for an enjoyable construction project that will culminate in a beautiful and timeless home.
